David Dwayne Jones, 51, of Amarillo, TX died Friday, June 3, 2022.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
David was born in Amarillo, Texas to Linda Jones on February 15, 1971.
David worked hard to provide and build a life for his family. He was an excellent husband, father, grandfather, and role model. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, gambling, and guns. He loved cookouts and spending time in his bar with family and friends. He was very intelligent and could just about fix anything.
He was preceded in death by great-grandmother, Velma Seale; grandpa, Ernest Brown; mother, Linda Jones; wife, Jennifer Jones; aunt and uncle, Paula and Jim Braswell.
Survivors include daughter, Destiny Richardson; son, Casey Jones; grandson, EJ Richardson; grandma, Tommie Brown; brother, Mickey Braswell; sister and brother-in-law, Mindy and Lathan Wilson; nephews, Cody Braswell, Charles Wilson, and Brandon Wilson; nieces, Kayla Braswell and Ashley Ferguson; three great-nieces, and several close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a Go Fund Me account to help with funeral expenses
