Dennis Bohrer went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 27,

2023.

Dennis will be available for viewing from 10:00 AM-8:00 PM, Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Boxwell Brothers. Services will be held at Trinity Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with graveside service to follow at Llano Cemetery East on Friday, September 29, 2023. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

In loving memory of Victor Dennis Bohrer. Dennis was born June 1st, 1935 in Boise City, Oklahoma to Jesse Ruth Victoria Jenkins and Leon Laverne Bohrer. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Dallas, Darwin, and Jim Bohrer and one sister, Cheryl Fulfer.

Dennis grew up with his 5 brothers and 1 sister in Dalhart, Texas where he graduated Dalhart High School in 1953. Dennis has been a man of faith for many years. Dennis and Helen have been devoted members of Trinity Baptist church for over 60 years. As a teenager, he rode his bike to church every Sunday with his bible in the front basket of his bicycle.

Dennis moved to Amarillo in the early 50’s. He had 2 children from a previous marriage. Dennis married Mary Helen Bufkin Bilderback and added 4 additional kids of Helen’s immediately to the brood with 2 more to be added in just a few years.

Dennis is survived by his wife Mary Helen Bohrer of Amarillo, 8 children, Leslie White and husband Robert of Amarillo, Desiree Holliman and husband Loyd of Colorado, Blaine Bilderback and wife Anne of Denton, Sherry Risinger and husband Mike of Amarillo, David Bohrer of Austin, Bryan Bilderback and wife Nancy of Houston, Lisa Corti and husband Randy of California and Martin Bohrer of Florida. Dennis is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and additional extended family
