Dixie Rozanne Strong Fulton, 69, of Amarillo, TX passed from this life to her

eternal reward on June 2, 2023. Heaven has gained an exceptional soul.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Hillside Christian Church Chapel. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Dixie was born April 18, 1954,

to Robert and Ivabelle Strong in Wellington, TX. The family moved to Amarillo when she was three years old. She married Danny Fulton on November 10, 1978. This union produced Stephanie Leigh Striley (Joe) and Christopher David Fulton (Anabella). Dixie has five grandchildren, Noah Striley, Maddox Striley, Asher Striley, Ellis Fulton, and Avery Fulton.

Dixie attended Amarillo College and was in Who’s Who among students at American Vocational and Technical School as well as Outstanding Retailing and Merchandising Student of the Year. In her second year, she was one of the top 10 students in the entire United States. She went on to graduate from West Texas State University with a degree in Business Management.

Dixie’s passion for the Lord and serving others led her to a full life in relentless pursuit of sharing her deep faith. This led her to Patsy’s Place, serving and teaching a multitude of women over 13 years as she wrote and coordinated the Financial Skills Curriculum at this transitional living program and ministry. Additionally, Dixie changed countless lives through the inner healing ministry she founded, Freedom Force.

Everyone referred to Dixie as “Sweet Dixie.” Her first love has always been Jesus.

Dixie is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ivabelle Strong; and brother, Don Strong.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Fulton of the home; children, Stephanie Striley of Amarillo, TX, Chris Fulton of Spring, TX,; niece and nephew,  Renee Jones of Atchinson, KS, Wally Strong of Westboro, TX, and five grandchildren.

  1. I’m so sad to see this. What a precious, selfless, joyful soul. If someone didn’t like Dixie Fulton, they had to be the worst person on earth because she was dear to everyone who met her.
    Danny and Stephanie, I love y’all and my heart is heavy for you and your family.

  2. Dixie was gem ! Priceless! I have known her since Jr. High School. She will be missed by everyone who she knew in her time on earth. Praying for her family for comfort.

  3. I so loved and admired Dixie as I volunteered under her supervision as a financial coach these past 11 years. She made me feel needed and appreciated. Yet, she was the one who deserved all the accolades for the remarkable Financial Skills program we now have in place. Her work and sacrifice is beyond value. John 15:

  4. Dixie was the kind of truly godly women that we should all strive to be. I am so glad I got to know her better in the last few years. Thanks for her family willing to share her journey through caring bridge for those of us who live elsewhere, it meant the world to me to know how our girl was doing.   5. We have known Dixie for over forty years. In that time she was a warrior for Jesus and supported many friends through difficult times. She is leaving a legacy that will be very difficult to match. Her passion Jesus, Family and sharing her faith with others. Whenever I got together Dixie would alway say. HEY GIRL so I say Hey Dixie Girl you can have all the Dr Peppers you want in Heaven. You will always be a bright star in our lives

  7. I am saddened to learn of Dixies death. I ask God to comfort the family as they move forward on this earth. There are no words, may you feel the presence of comfort in the Spirit of God.

  8. Dixie was the most awesome Christian woman I have ever known. She was so beautiful and kind . I am so sorry for her loss. I know she is in Jesus’s arms now and pain free. Condolences and love to the family.
