Don Ponciano Hernandez, 48, of Amarillo, TX passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Emmanuel Burgos officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Don was born in Amarillo, TX on November 19, 1972, to Sarah and Steven Hernandez.

Don worked as a supervisor at the Post Office. He enjoyed working out and grilling with family. He was a big Dallas Cowboys Fan. Don also liked cars, fashion, and loved to snow ski when he was younger.

He was preceded in death by two siblings, Yvette Bustillos, and Sara Renteria.

Survivors include his son, Evan Hernandez, of Amarillo, TX; siblings, Steve Hernandez and wife Paula, Jeanie Morales and husband Alex, Arthur Hernandez, Corrine Zambrano, and Christine Castillo; and brothers-in-law, Felix Bustillos, and Leonard Renteria.

  2. My friend you are finally healed. Enjoyed our times working together. You’re one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met. It breaks my heart not to tell Mom of your passing, she will be devastated when she’s healed and ready to know. We shall meet again, I have no doubt.   3. I have no words. The Hernandez Family is very special family to me. I am so sorry for the loss of their baby boy. Don was quiet with wit and humor. He will be missed so much. I know the happiness he is feeling at the feet of Jesus with his Mom, Dad, Yvette, and Sarah. Fly High little brother. See you on the other side.

  6. I’m so sorry for this family’s continued loss. Don was a baby when I met him. I love this family like my own. So sad. He is finally in a much better place. Praying his family and friends to be given comfort and peace. ❤️🙏🙏❤️
