Donald Eugene McMahan, 91, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on March 21, 2024.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 26

, at Llano Cemetery with Bill Ivins officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo. Flowers/plants and condolences can
be sent to the funeral home.
Don was born in Amarillo, Texas on June 6, 1932, to Mable (Gruner) and Frank McMahan. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1950. He married Janet Regal on June 17, 1955, in Amarillo, TX and they were married for 68 years upon his death. They raised three children together based on love, faith, family, friends, education, and integrity. Don spent 30 years as an elementary school principal with AISD.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet McMahan; a son, Jack Thomas McMahan; and a grandson, Garrett McMahan.
He is survived by a son, John David McMahan, of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Ann McMahan Parker, of Amarillo, TX; two granddaughters, Jennifer Hogan and Clair Daniel; a grandson, Colin Kozar; and four great-grandchildren, Adelyn, Brecken, Noah, and Willow.
