Dora A. Cardona, 85, of Amarillo, TX died Monday, June 20, 2022.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2022, in St. Mary’s Cathedral with Msgr. Joe Bixenman as celebrant. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Cardona was born April 25, 1937, in Kenedy, TX to Manuel and Felipa Aguilar.
In 2014, she was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Cardona. She also was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Ray, Roy, John, Thomas, Rosendo, Manuel, Alex, Santos, and Norma Aguilar, and Odelia Casares.
Survivors include two sons, Art Cardona, and Jim Cardona and wife Christina, all of Amarillo; three daughters, Nancy Cardona of Amarillo, Irma Bolton and husband Dusty, of Dalhart, and Cindy Cardona, of Amarillo, TX; five grandchildren, Misty Hedquist and husband Chris, Michael Bolton, Adam Cardona, Yolanda Gonzales, Sylvia Cardona, and Jacob Cardona; four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Rayleigh, and Theodore; two sisters, Dominga Gonzales and Mary Martinez.
