Dorothy “Dot” Jean Alaniz, 69, of Amarillo passed away February 15, 2023.
Dot was born August 22, 1953 in Brady, Texas to Jiggs and Ollie Wright. She was a hard worker and thought bigger is better with anything! She loved Sci-Fi Movies and cooking meals for her family. Dot was also very proud of her accomplishments in Tai Kwon Do and was a certified black belt. She loved horses and all animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Lance Leathers; and brother, John T. Wright.
She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Leathers and husband Michael; son, Shane Wallace; grandsons, Josh Leathers and wife Kelsey, Dusty Leathers, and Tristin Leathers; great-grandson, Syler Leathers; brother, Max Cox; and several nieces and nephews.
