Eddie Kitchens, 72, of Sunray, TX died Monday, May 10, 2021.

 
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 14, 2021, at Llano Cemetery with Keith Hight officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
 
Eddie was born on January 29, 1949, in Amarillo, TX. He worked as a beautician for more than thirty years in Amarillo and Dumas. Eddie loved to play bluegrass and gospel music and enjoyed SCUBA diving.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Ruth McAlister.
 
Survivors include his wife, Judy Kitchens, of Sunray, TX; daughter, Tanya Smith and husband Dean, of Amarillo, TX; sister, Vera Huddleston and husband Wayland, of Amarillo, TX; brother, Joe Kitchens and wife Janet, of Amarillo, TX; and grandchildren, Emilee and Paige Smith.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or to High Plains Food Bank, 815 Ross St, Amarillo, TX 79102.

  2. I was so sorry to hear about Eddie. My prayers are with all the family. He was a great guy and will be missed. We saw him play the banjo at OHMS, and were amazed at his talent.
