Elfido Palma

Elfido Palma, 75, of Amarillo, TX passed away December 2, 2020, at Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo.  

 

Visitation will be Friday, December 11, 2020, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:00 pm., Friday, December 11, 2020, at Northridge Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

 

Elfido was born in Rasanachi, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 13, 1945, to Martimiano Palma and Margarita Rosas. He grew up mainly in Teporachi, Chihuahua, Mexico.  On September 23, 1975, he married Elibalda Palma with whom he would go on to raise four children. He immigrated to Seminole, Texas in 1980 and later moved to Deming, New Mexico where he worked mainly in agriculture. He left New Mexico and moved to Colorado. He enjoyed the Colorado Rockies for 9 years until he moved back to the Lone Star State where he lived until his passing. 

 

Elfido was known by his family to be a happy man always sharing a smile with all. He was known to enjoy listening to music, dancing, and most of all spending time with his family especially his grandkids. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Elibalda, of the home; his son, Luis Palma; three daughters, Herlinda (Santiago) Sanchez, Sonia (Rito) Chavez, and Margarita (Thomas) Grajeda; siblings, Heriberto Palma, Guadalupe Palma, Rafaela Palma, Yolanda Palma, Rosa Palma; along with his biggest pride and joy 12 grandchildren, Esteban, Briyitt, Adrian, Elizette, Destinee, Alejandro, Luis, Tommy Jr, Santiago, Bella, Cataleya, and Liliana; and 4 great-grandchildren, Giovanni, Isabelle, Amaya, and Annabelle. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Margarito Palma, Ruben Palma, and Manuel Palma 

 

Pallbearers will be Luis Palma, Luis A. Palma, Esteban Chavez, Adrian Chavez, Alejandro Sanchez, Tommy J. Grajeda, Jr., and honorary pallbearer will be his youngest grandson, Santiago Sanchez.
