Eliseo Estrada Rios, 86, of Amarillo, TX died Friday, November 26, 2021.

Memorial services will be at Saint Stephen United Methodist Church, 4600 S. Western St., Friday, December 3, 2021, at 6:00 P.M.

Eliseo was born November 19, 1935, in Reynosa, Mexico to Secundino and Eudelia Rios.

He married Oralia Flores in Chicago, IL on October 26, 1957.

Eliseo was an evangelist and for 53 years, he pastored churches in Littlefield, TX and Michigan.  He also was a missionary.  His mission work included building churches in Mexico.

He was preceded in death by a son, Eliseo Rios Jr.; two grandsons, Eliseo Rios III, and Ernesto Rios; and a granddaughter, Erica Williams.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Oralia Rios, of Amarillo, TX; two daughters, Eudelia Rios, of Denton, TX and Evett Rios and husband Ross, of Amarillo, TX; sons, Efrain Rios and wife Kathy, Edward Rios and wife Melissa, Elias Rios and wife Rosa, all of Amarillo, TX, Ezekiel Rios of Littlefield, TX, and Eli Rios, of Washougal, WA; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

  1. Sending prayers and all my love to my cousins and my tia. It’s not easy to lose someone you love very much. He was a strong man. A great man of God.I remember when he would preach you dare not fall asleep cause he would wake you up.. Lol. He will be truly missed. I love you guys and my tia so much.

  3. So sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful pastor. I will never forget when I went to Mexico and played/ sing song at a church. I loved it.
