Elizabeth De Los Santos, age 90, of Amarillo, TX passed away on October 4th, 2022.

Graveside services will be at 10 A.M., Friday, October 7th, 2022, at Llano cemetery with Dr. Alberta Helton officiating.  A viewing will be held from 12:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel on Thursday, October 6, 2022.  Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 P.M. – 6:30 P.M.   Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Elizabeth was born in Cuero, TX on June 23, 1932, to Jesus R. Cuellar, and Lea Pompa. She married E.R. De Los Santos in April 1949.  Elizabeth settled in Amarillo in 1960, with 8 children, 4 girls, and 4 boys. Rachael Castillo, David De Los Santos, Rosa Soto, Joe De Los Santos, Vera Martinez, Sammy De Los Santos, Louie De Los Santos, and Ester Arellano. She was a Christian and a member of Triumphant Truth Church in Amarillo.  She enjoyed going to garage sales, crocheting, estate sales, board games (cheating at Wahoo), and enjoying her large family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Lea Cuellar, her husband E.R. De Los Santos, son David De Los Santos, and 5 brothers and 2 sisters, 1 grandson, and 1 granddaughter.

Survivors include her 7 children, 24 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and some great-great-grandchildren.

  5. Tia Licha will always be in my heart. She and mother were the original golden girls in their time. They were funny and caring (most of the time). I will miss her.

    She has joined the old Wahoo team…her hubby Soeedy (as we all knew him), Mary & Gabriel Sustaita, Anita & Tia Rosa Gonzales. I just want to know who took the wahoo board to Heaven. They played every week-end. No disrespect, but if you knew them you would know they were all a team.

      Good memories while falling asleep on Rosa’s couch in the wee hours! 💞
