  3. I have such great memories of Uncle Elmo and Aunt Ava. It was always a great time when they would come to visit in Fort Smith and stay with Uncle James and Aunt Flonnie. I loved hearing all of them tell stories from when they were younger, and the Rook games were pretty fierce. I can just imagine that Mom, Uncle James, Aunt Flonnie, Uncle Willie, Aunt Hazel, Uncle Elmo and Aunt Ava are having a great reunion right now. Heaven is getting sweeter all the time. Rest in peace, Uncle Elmo.

  7. A great man who influenced many. My brother and I had a temporary job working for the Blythes at their Egg Ranch. I’m sure Elmo and my dad (Gerald Hall) had a good laugh talking about our tasks with the chickens (and hogs).
His memories will live forever in all of us!

  9. Elmo Blythe, he was my friend. I loved to go to his house and visit. We would always talk about his garden and my garden. I !earned a lot from Elmo. He could always teach me something folks always say “he was a.good man”. Or they say, “he was a Christian man” well you could say both of those things about Elmo and be telling the truth. He was a good Christian man. Elmo I am proud to have known you, and proud to have called you friend.

  13. The Egg Farm, Ava and Elmo taking me with them to the spudnutz shop, letting me ride in the front seat while he delivered eggs to the grocery stores, going with them to “nearby” bowling tournaments and laughing when he tricked me into thinking he was magic while the car was on cruise control, the Blythe family reunions, watching everyone play dominos & bridge, the tables of amazing holiday food, seeing him walk his garden and him pointing out to us what needed to be picked, all of us going to see the play Texas at Palo Duro Canyon, watching him eat a bowl of ice cream every night before bed, him letting me take selfies of us and the best hugs ever.
I have loved being Ava and Elmo’s grand daughter.

  18. I remember as a child growing up and later going out to Mr. Blythe’s egg-ranch to get the best fresh-eggs anyplace. I also remember the ice house. What fond-memories. May God bless each-of-you, remember you are not orphaned as He will watch over you. Grieve-as-you must, not-as-others are telling you is right, wrong or indifferent. Travel the pathway He has for you to follow in such-a-fine legacy; each has their individual-one so there are no pathways for all.

  19. I’m so sorry Kay. What a wonderful life he lived. 101….man I’ll
Bet he could tell some awesome stories. I know you will miss him. We’re never ready to let go. Pray for you and your family for comfort
