Esmeralda Garcia Rodriguez, 67, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on January 20, 2023.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, January 23, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Manny De Los Santos officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Esmeralda was born in in Robstown, Texas on December 18, 1955, to Soila Lazcano Garcia and Amado R. Garcia. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, spending time with friends and family, and talking on the phone for hours. Esmeralda will be remembered for her selfless, caring heart and free spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amado R. Garcia and Solia Lazcano Garcia; and siblings, Martha Salinas, Guadalupe E ., and Amado Garcia Jr.
Survivors include her two daughters, Selena Perales, and Brieanna Perales, both of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron Rattana and wife Valerie, Izaak Rattana, Ethen Rattana, Alia Rattana, Avery Rattana, Christian Loya and wife Aubrey, and Makayla Loya, all of Amarillo, Texas; 3 great-grandchildren, Ezra, Oliver, and Yuna; sisters, Sarah Salinas, and Mary Lou Lopez of Dimmit, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
