Eugene (Gene) Carter Lowry of Amarillo, TX passed away from this life on December 19th, 2022.
Memorial services will be at Southwest Church of Christ in Amarillo, TX on January 14, 2023, at 2:00 PM.
Eugene was born on August 8th, 1952, in Amarillo to Robert C. Lowry and Shirley Beth Huffstutler. He attended school in Amarillo graduating from Palo Duro High School in 1971. Joining the Army National Guard in July 1971.
On August 25, 1972, Gene married Dianna L. Stansbury in the home of his parents in Amarillo. Gene was a member of the San Jacinto Masonic Lodge No. 1330 since 1977.
Gene worked at Red Ball, Yellow, and Roadway. He was a member of Teamsters #577.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife Dianna Lowry, 3 sons Chris D Lowry, Richard A. Lowry and wife Pam, and Aaron M. Lowry. Grandson Robert Lowry of Amarillo. Step grandson Chance Cain. Step granddaughter Makayla Winton. 2 Brothers Robert Lowry, Charlie Lowry and wife Darla of Canyon, TX. One sister Elaine Hardman and husband Robert of Los Fresnos, TX. TJ and Makayla Wolske and Zek Shaw who were considered grandchildren by Gene and numerous others also were considered. Two best friends Mike Bruno and Dan Grizzle of Amarillo, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
