Francis Mae Dodson Woodworth, 97, of Panhandle, TX died on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.
Graveside services were in Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton, TX on November 20, 2021.
Francis was born on March 22, 1924, in Perryton, TX to Francis Fountain and Myrtle Mae Newton Dodson. She married James R. (Jimmy) Woodworth on June 8,1943 in Denver, CO where Jimmy was serving in the Army Air Corps as a flight instructor. After WWII service, they settled in Austin, TX. She remained in Austin until she moved to Panhandle in 2000 to be close to her remaining family. She enjoyed traveling and painting. She took many trips with her artist friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Woodworth; a brother, Newton B Dodson; two sisters, Yvonne Zoe Dodson Marak, and Neida Beth Dodson Hulsey; and a nephew, Wildren Ladohn Lewis.
Survivors include nieces, Lynna Hulsey Armstrong and husband Glenn of Houston, TX, Frances Dodson Kyser and husband Jeff of Lacey’s Springs, AL, Louisa Dodson Sandager and husband Jim of West Des Moines, IA, and  Laura Lewis, widow of nephew Ladohn Lewis, of Hurst, TX; and nephew, Montgomery Dodson and wife Audie of Brandon, MS.
