Freida McKee, 70, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on June 29, 2023.
Memorial services will be at 6:00 P.M., Friday, July 14, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Freida was born in Amarillo, Texas on October 27, 1952, to Susan and Billy McKee.
Freida worked and retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T Communications where she received recognition multiple times for her excellent work. She loved to travel, was an avid collector, enjoyed fashion, and had the most wonderful jewelry collection. Freida was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart. Often, she would write poetry expressing her thoughts about passages of scripture. Freida was a member of Arden Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jamie Causey-Riley; sister-in-law, Cindy McKee; and brother, Stevie Mathews.
Survivors include her brother, David McKee and wife Cheri; sister, Debbie DeVoid and husband Michael; brother, Gene McKee; sister, Trina French and husband Kenny; brother, Ronnie McKee and wife Paula; brother-in-law, Ron Riley; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
