Gavin Nick Valadez

Gavin Nick Valadez, 24, of Dumas, died Wednesday, January 1, 2020.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at HIS Church Dumas Campus, 10 Elm Ave., with Frank Gordoa officiating.  Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas.

Nick was born on March 1, 1995 in Clovis, N.M. to Severo and Josephine Valadez.  He graduated from Dumas High School in 2013.  He loved Jack and coke, skateboarding, and playing the piano and guitar.  He also enjoyed fishing and playing pool.

He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Nick was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joe Trevino of Bovina; and grandparents, Severo and Carlotta Valadez of Juarez.

He is survived by his parents, Severo and Josephine Valadez of Dumas; two sisters, Izzy Valadez and Gitana Valadez, both of Dumas; two brothers, Joshua Valadez of Dumas and Seth Valadez and wife Beatrice of Amarillo; a grandmother, Paula Trevino of Bovina; two nephews, Adrian Josiah Valadez and Jayvian Ryne Valadez; and his dog, Elvis.

  1. Im so sorry for your loss as a mother I would not know what to do with a loss of a child no matter what age I pray for you both Josie and Severo that God guides you both thru your pain I wish I could of been there for you all. I love you all so much and i will continue to pray for you all.
