
George Larry Jones, Jr., 50, of Amarillo, TX died Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
Private services will be held. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
George was born to Larry and Vercie (Stembridge) Jones on March 17, 1972, in Falls Church, VA and grew up in Sacramento, CA. The last thirty years he lived in Amarillo where he worked for Kwik Kar. George loved to fish and fix things.
He was preceded in death by his dad.
Survivors include his wife Jaime Jones, of Amarillo; son, Harley Jones and fiancée, Ruth Vela, both of Amarillo; daughter, Kadee Jones, of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Daxton and Ally, both of Amarillo; his mother, Vercie Allesio and husband Frank, of Oroville, CA; his brother, Walter Jones and fiancée, Teresa Alexander, of Jackson, CA; two sister, Debbie Aday and Lynda Carr, both of Sacramento, CA; and stepmother, Rose Jones, of Sacramento, CA.
Gone to soon my friend, you are already truly missed. A good man who wouldn’t give up once he started a task. He truly loved his family. Lord God give the family the Strength to get through this. See you later brother because you’re not done fixing & repairing. Love you Bro
George Jones, man that dude would never quit. Jack of all trades, master of some, and would just flat get after it. He will be missed and remembered by a lot. 10/4 truck driver, over and out. God needed his porch light fixed and your on it sir, get er done. Will be missed.
George was a really great man. He loved helping anyone who needed help. He went above and beyond for those he cared about. He loved his family… And he loved life. He is and will be greatly missed. I know I already do.
