Glenn was born on May 2, 1931 in Hubbard, TX to Onan and Emma Lee Evans.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Shirley Jane (Gee) Evans; brother, Maurice Evans; and sister, Linda Wollard. Glenn is survived by his brothers, Tom and Billy Evans; sister, Anita Carter; son, Thomas Glenn married to Lisa Evans; daughter, Phyllis Marie married to Gene Belfield, and daughter, Rebecca (Beckie) Evans.

Glenn was lovingly known as PawPaw by his 11 grandchildren, Amie Morgan, Clarissa Rangel, Marcus Evans, Bradley Evans, Sharon Belfield, Kenny Belfield, Preston Belfield, Ethan Belfield, Maddie Evans, Harrah Evans, and Bonner Evans, as well as 11 great-grandchildren.

Glenn was a Korean war veteran. He served in the United States Air Force as a medic stationed in Paris, France.  He retired from the Postal Service after 22 years of service, where he was affectionately known by his coworkers as “Snake”. Glenn happily accepted the nickname in alliance with his friend who had also received a curious nickname; “Spider”.

He is remembered lovingly by friends and family as a man who knew at least a hundred ways to put a rubber band to good use. He had the biggest smile and loved to talk and tell stories about anything and everything. He would talk your ear off if you let him! His voice and presence on this Earth will be sorely missed by all who knew him and welcomed in heaven by the people who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Epilepsy Foundation of Texas (www.eftx.org). Please designate to High Plains Epilepsy Association in memory of Glenn Evans to ensure your gift goes to local needs.
