Glenna Dale Macrander, 84, of Amarillo, TX died Monday, October 9, 2023.
Memorial service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 4600 N. Western St. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Glenna was born June 5, 1939, in Caddo, OK to Steven Grant and Leona Troxell. She graduated from Amarillo High School. Glenna enjoyed volunteering at the hospital and Amarillo High School reunions. She also loved working in her yard and took great pride in the warmth of her home, which she had spent many years decorating.
And it was her weekly luncheons with her best friends that she loved so much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Macrander; her daughter, Pamela Macrander; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include her children, Stephen Macrander and wife Kimberley, and Jamie Macrander and wife Amy, all of Amarillo, TX; a sister, Tommy Craven, of Amarillo, TX; and six grandchildren.

I’m so sorry for your families loss. I have fond memories of Mrs Macrander from my high school days At Caprock. She was our Wrestlerette coach. I always thought she was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. And I never forgot her telling me to take care of your face with just cold water and soap. Crazy, I know but it reminds me of her often. I remember all of us packed in a station wagon on an out of town trip for a wrestling match that was funand crazy . Makes my heart sad!
