She was born in New Haven,
Connecticut on September 12, 1928. She was raised in Connecticut and moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1979. She is survived by her five daughters: Gloria Leach and husband Frank of Inverness, Florida, and granddaughter Linsey Burrows of West Palm Beach, Florida; Lenora Burrows Sticco and granddaughter Nicole of East Lyme, Connecticut; Barbara Matson and husband Ray, and grandsons, Thomas (preceded in death), Steven, John and Joseph of Prospect, Connecticut and Daniel of North Carolina.
Debra Avara and grandson Jared Dawson and his wife Sarah Thomas Dawson of Amarillo, Texas; Lisa Meeks and husband Patrick of Crowley, Texas, and grandchildren Apryl Kennemer, husband Chad and great-grandchildren, Mia and Wyatt Kennemer; and Patrick Meeks Jr, wife Jordan, and great-grandchildren Braxton Kreger and Rhett Meeks, all of Joshua, Texas.
Gloria loved to travel and owned an RV for many years. She belonged to Loners on Wheels and Red Hat Club and loved reading, sewing,
and the ocean.
