Gregory Garcia, 59, of Amarillo, TX died on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 17, 2022, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Chris Birtles officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Greg was born on July  6, 1963, in Abernathy, TX to Antonio and Alice Garcia. He lived in Amarillo for 45 years.

Greg married Rebecca Aguirre on December 14, 1988.

Greg worked for the City of Amarillo for 15 years. He loved to fish, work around the house, and to scratch off the scratch off lottery tickets.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Antonio and Alice Garcia; brothers, Daniel Garcia, and Antonio Garcia, Jr.; and sisters, Ophelia, Isabel, and Balbina.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Garcia, of Amarillo, TX; a son, Adam Julian Garcia, of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Tiffany Amber Pantel and husband Zachary, of Amarillo, TX; five grandchildren, Brayden Garcia, Alijah Cordero, Noah Garcia, Jaxon Pantel, and Allison Pantel, all of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Robert Garcia, of Fairfield, TX, George Garcia, of Colorado Springs, CO, Benny Garcia, of Amarillo, TX; and a sister, Sabina Ramos, of Amarillo, TX.

  2. May you rest in peace. Say hi to my Tia 0phelia and Isabel. Even though it’s been over 30 years that I last saw you, I have never forgotten you and til this day my brother and I still use your phrase “que vato” “que vato”. You will be missed, my deepest condolences.
