
Guadalupe Flores, 90, of Dumas, died on Monday, November 14, 2022.
Memorial services have been postponed. The rescheduled service information will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.
Guadalupe was born on May 17, 1932, in Runge, Texas to Augustine and Maria Flores. He grew up in San Marcos and moved to Dumas in 1979. He worked as a welder for many years for Lewis Construction. He retired after working several years as a truck driver which he enjoyed very much. He also enjoyed taking care of his animals and working around the house. He always kept busy as a family man.
He married Dominga Benavidez on June 3, 1955.
He is survived by his wife Dominga Flores of Dumas; eight sons, Viel Flores and wife Angie of Dumas, Mario Flores and wife Yolanda of San Marcos, Guadalupe Flores Jr. of Jacksonville, Fl., Alfredo Flores and wife Christina of Augusta, Ga., Enrique Flores and wife Amelia of San Marcos, Vetel Flores and wife Esperanza of Sunray, Noe Flores and wife Lanora of San Marcos, and Arturo Flores of Dumas; five daughters, Emma Flores and husband Dave of Dumas, Janie Wehr and husband Joe of Perry, Ok., Hope Ritchie and husband Jeff Jolly of Dumas, Milly Reyes of Dumas, and Dominga Criado and husband Ernesto of Amarillo; two sisters, Lucila Moreno and husband Jose of San Marcos and Irene Flores of San Marcos; thirty-nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren.

Sorry for your loss. I got to know him at my work back in the late 80’s and he was kind and respectable. Later on I got to meet some of his family and they to treated me the same way.
