Guadalupe “Lupe” Ortega Fasano
Guadalupe ‘Lupe’ Ortega Fasano, 62, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on August 27, 2023.
Service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
She was born in Merkel, Texas and had been a long-time resident of Amarillo. Guadalupe was a woman who cherished family, friends, and the connections she shared with them. Her unwavering love and pride for her family were at the core of her being, and she would go to great lengths to support and help anyone in need.
She is survived by her devoted partner, Curtis Searcy; her loving daughters, Cassandra and Amanda; daughters-in-law Beth Chu and Kenzie Daniels; her father, Leopoldo Ortega Sr.; and her siblings: Victor, John, Joe, Chris, Angel, Christina, Teresa, and Gabrielle. She also leaves behind numerous other cherished family members and close friends.
Lupe was preceded in death by her previous spouse, Michael Fasano; her mother, Enriquetta Ortega; her brother, Leopoldo Jr. Ortega; her maternal grandparents, Teresa Biera and Lucio Lozano; her paternal grandparents, Manuela Ortega and Genevebo Ortega; her tia, Minerva (Minnie) Rodriguez; ; her nephew, Victor Ortega; her nephew, Jacob Levario; and her niece, Alice Lee Perez.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Lupe’s legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of being part of her life.
