Gustavo Morales

Gustavo D. Morales, 72, of Dumas, died on Sunday, December 31, 2023.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox with Father Luis Lopez officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas.

Gustavo was born on June 19, 1951 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Idelio and Sofia Morales.  He had worked for JBS over 34 years until retirement.  He loved lottery tickets, going to the casinos, traveling, and watching westerns.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends.

He married Priscilla Martinez on August 10, 1977 in Pueblo, Colorado.

He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Morales of Dumas; three daughters, Michelle Saenz and husband Adrian of Amarillo, Lucia Vargas and husband Ricardo of Dumas, and Vanessa Marquez of Amarillo; a son, Daniel Morales and wife Nina Gutierrez of Dumas; a sister, Luz Maria Morales of Mexico; two brothers, Carmires Morales and Miguel Angel Morales, both of Mexico; and eight grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Makayla, Jayden, Danica, Aaron, Alex, Scarlett, and Emmett.
