Hannah Anastasia Canela, 2, of Dumas, TX passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at First Baptist Church.  Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.

Hannah was born on August 24, 2018 in Dumas to Sergio and Mary Canela. She was a beautiful young girl, cheerful, loved to sing and dance, and loved her sister Ellie very much.  She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her parents, Sergio and Mary Canela; a sister, Ellie Canela; grandfather, Sergio Z. Canela and wife Geli of Phoenix, Az.; grandmother, Tara Cowan of Ft. Worth; grandfather, Salvador Davila and wife Christina of Pampa; grandmother, Lerissa Stevenson and husband Sergio Chavez of Dumas; great-grandparents, Janice & Terry Stevenson of Dumas; great-grandmother, Dolores Galvan of Cactus; great-grandparents, Otto and Maria Chavez of Dumas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Viewing will be available at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Dumas, 500 N. Maddox, on Friday, April 9, 2021, from 10:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M., and Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. No one can ever prepare you for the loss of a child, especially one so young. Just remember that you loved her with all your heart and she loved you. Hannah will live on in your hearts and she will always be looking down from heaven and watching you all. I hope you find comfort in the loved ones around you and take the time you need to heal.

  3. I wish I had words to lighten your agony but sometimes words are not enough. Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. Tara, your son and his wife are in out thoughts and prayers.

  4. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. A precious sole who loved to visit with me and play phone while at the bowling alley. You will be missed my little one.
