
Harold Dean Matlock, 78, of Amarillo, TX died February 21, 2022.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Llano Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 6-7 P.M., at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Harold was born April 27, 1943, in Sayre, OK to O.H. and Stella Matlock. He graduated high school from Sweetwater, OK and worked in the oilfield there. On June 6, 1968, Harold married Carol Anne Jefferson in Erick, OK. In 1973, they moved to Amarillo when Harold started a career in heating and air. He worked at Pantex the majority of his career and retired from there in 2009. He also had his own heating and air business, Aire 1.
Harold was a member of Trinity Fellowship, where he participated in the prison ministry for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and had a knack for fixing things. He loved spending time with his family at the lake.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Anne Matlock, of Amarillo, TX; three sons, Brandon Matlock, Randy Matlock and wife Micah, and Chad Matlock, all of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Gabe, Caleb, Paxton, and Toby; sister-in-law, Jeanie Matlock.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to 24 Hours in the Canyon, Survivorship Center, 6600 Killgore Drive, Amarillo, Tx. 79106 or go to www.24survivorship.org.

The Matlocks were our neighbors growing up in the Mayfield community and Haold was a high-school friend. Saddened to hear his passing. My condolences to Anne and family.

I was glad to see that the photo of Harold was during his trip to Alaska. I feel privileged to have been a part of that fishing trip. I know Harold enjoy fishing and I know that Anne and Harold had a great time visiting out state. I will miss you cousin Harold.
