Harold Dean Peetoom
Harold Dean Peetoom passed away on April 18, 2023. A service will be held at 10 A.M., Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at First Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Harold was born in Shattuck, Oklahoma on February 22, 1939, to Glenn Peetoom and Rosezella Clark Peetoom.
He was married to Kay Anderson on the 12′ day of May 2011.
Harold was a long-haul truck driver for 61 years carrying freight to all 48 continental United States as well as Mexico and 5 provinces in Canada.
Harold was a member of First Baptist Church, Amarillo, Texas and a life member of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers National Association.
Served 4 years in the United States Navy as a machinist mate.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his two brothers La Gene and Donald Peetoom.
He is survived by his wife Kay, His son Harold D. Peetoom the Second, and wife Kathy; granddaughters, Violet and Sophie; his Daughter, Kerry Kindness; Stepdaughter, Christy Kimbley and husband Gary; granddaughters, Ryann and Dru Kimbley. Stepson Mark Bewley, and wife, Shannon, and Granddaughter Kaitlin. Also, a part of the extended family, Keith Hubbard and Amanda Hudgens Favreau, grandchildren by Grace.
