Harold Raymond George, Jr., 56, of Vega, TX died Sunday, January 10, 2021.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021, at First Baptist Church at Vega with Brian Hevrin officiating.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega.  Viewing will be from noon – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd., in Amarillo.

Harold was born March 31, 1964, in Woodward, OK to Nancy and Harold George Sr.  He graduated from Vega High School in 1984.  Harold was a mechanic, jack of all trades master of none!!

He was preceded in death by his dad, Harold George Sr.; two brothers, Joe and Robbin George; and a nephew, Christopher.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, married for 34 years, Kerry George, of Vega, TX; daughter, Ashley Fowler and Ronnie Granger of Sunray, TX; sons, Colby George and wife McKenzie, of Amarillo, TX, Trace George, of Vega, TX, and Chauncey Sieber, of Vega, TX; grandchildren, Lexi Fowler (pawpaw’s princess), Wade Fowler, Kylie Granger, and Brady Granger; numerous foster children and grandchildren; mother, Nancy George of Higgins, TX; and uncle, Roland, of Higgins, TX.

  1. Had the pleasure to meet the George family when Trace and my son, Britton, would do horse riding lessons together. Harold and I would talked about our classic cars and how we were restoring them. An awesome man and family. God Bless Y’all 🙏

  2. Our most sincere condolences to the George family. We will miss our team mate’s father, Harold. He was kind and an integral part of the Canyon Eagles Special Olympics team. We will miss him. Harold was always ready to helped our team. We were privileged to know him. Our prayers are with you Kerry, Trace and other family members. this is so sad..   3. Even just knowing Harold for a short time, he was a joy to be around. I so appreciated his kind and generous heart. It’s hard not to wish for more days with him but so thankful for the ones we had.
