Helen Marie Weaver, 83, of Amarillo, TX passed away on March 28, 2022.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 1, 2022, at Oasis Southwest Baptist Church. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Denver City Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX.
Helen was born in Littlefield, TX on January 13, 1939, to Tina and Archie Hix. She grew up in Denver City, TX. She loved to read and sew.
Helen married R.H. Weaver on May 24, 1956, in Denver City, TX. The two were married until his death on May 9, 2010.
Helen was a member of Oasis Southwest Baptist Church where she was a greeter for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, R.H. Weaver; son, Tim Weaver; brother, Junior Hix; and sister-in-law, Doris McKee.
Survivors include her two daughters, Rhonda Matthews, of Lakeland, FL, and Judy Nunn (Craig), of Amarillo, TX; son, Rod Weaver (Angie), of Maui, HI; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Paula Dollar; and several other relatives and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
