  1. HAVE KNOWN DELL FOR MANY YEARS THROUGH CHURCH; WHEN MY HUSBAND TAUGHT AT BONHAM; AND THESE PAST FOUR YEARS HERE AT THE CRAIG. LOVED BEING ABLE TO BE FRIENDS AGAIN. I WILL MISS HER.

  2. I fall under the category of numerous nieces. Aunt Verdell was and always will be my favorite aunt. When you two came into their lives, every bit of her being demonstrated pure love. I don’t think I ever had a birthday that she did not call or drop me a note. Though I am saddened by her departure, I rejoice that she is taking her rightful place in heaven. God is good. May He be our comforter in this time.

  3. Having grown up at Polk St., I have known Dell for most of my life. She was a wonderful lady who was always wore a cheerful face and smile. Prayers for comfort.

  4. Good-bye “little” sister. It was fun growing up together and I loved those get togethers in our adult lives after I moved to West Virginia. I will miss those letters that we exchanged on a regular basis. So sorry that I am unable to join in on that celebration of life. We are “Going Down the Valley One By One” and look forward to joining you “When They Ring Those Golden Bells” for me. Love you, Ruby

  5. “Mrs. Dell” loved our kids and they loved her hugs and genuine care for them. She was a loyal and dedicated servant in the Children’s Sunday School department at Polk Street. We are thankful and blessed to have known her. Her legacy will live on and we will miss her very much. ❤️
