Ila Kibler


Ila Kibler, 88, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2022.

Funeral services will be graveside at Memorial Park Cemetery for immediate family. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, TX.

Ila was born on May 25, 1934, in Amarillo, TX. She was a homemaker and mother. She worked outside the home for Sears where she was presented with an achievement award for the numbering system now used across the nation. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, and she made friends wherever she went.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Mac McClendon; three brothers, Joe Fair Jr., Melvin Fair, and A.K. Fair; and three sisters, Othella Miller, Juanita Blake, and Geneva Myers.

Survivors include her children, Mary Thomas of Amarillo, TX, and Chris and Janet Kibler of Lawson, MO; grandchildren, Troy Mosby, Dana and Steve Brown, Rose Hopkins, Rita and Jeran Epp, and Ralph Thomas; and many great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

There will be a reception for family and friends at Coulter Road Baptist Church in the dining hall from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Monday, June 6, 2022, and all are welcome to come and visit.
