Jeffrey “Jeffro” Thomas Sarrels

   

Jeffrey “Jeffro” Thomas Sarrels, 49, of Amarillo, TX died March 26, 2020 as a result of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Celebration of Life Services will take place at a later date.

Jeffro was born September 28, 1970 in Childress, Texas, to William Taylor Sarrels and Myrtle Clariece (Wheeler) Sarrels.

Jeffro graduated from Amarillo Christian High School. Jeffro was an avid fishman and a BBQ grill sergeant.  He was always happiest in the company of family/close friends and good rock n roll (RUSH favored). Jeffro was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Denver Broncos.   Jeffro loved his job and spent 18 years happily employed at Panhandle Steel Erectors.

Jeffro is preceded in death by his brother, Teddy Ray Sarrels; his father, William Taylor Sarrels; and his stepfather, Harrison Beall.

Jeffro is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sherri Lynn (Simons) Sarrels; son, Noah Thomas Sarrels and wife Jade; granddaughter, Kohen Nicole Blue; mother, Clariece Beall; brother, Billy Wayne Sarrels and wife Missy;  nephew, Thadd Wayne Sarrels and wife Crystal; niece, Summer Marr and husband Aaron; mother-in-law, Katt Marshall; Oma Marge Barr; and numerous in-laws, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins and close friends.

ALS sucks bro.

  1. Jeff… we only knew each other for a few years but it sure was amazing! I am so greatful to have gotten to go fishing with you and enjoy such a beautiful vacation with you and the family! You are weighing heavy on all of our minds and hearts. No matter what you were going through you always managed to put a smile on your face. I’m so glad you aren’t in pain anymore but i know Thadd, Kyla, Jaydyn, Ryder, and myself miss you so much… till we meet again.. love you!

  2. Uncle Jeff, I miss you everyday. It has been hard to think about going home and not being able to see you again. I loved spending time with you and Sherri. I love you so much, you had such an impact in my life and you taught me so much and I will never forget that. Myself, Crystal, Kyla, Jaydyn and Ryder will forever love you and miss you.

  5. I have so many wonderful memories of you and Sherri. I cannot believe you are gone. I know I have not seen y’all in many years, but my thoughts and prayers are with your family. You will be very missed.
