Jennifer Marie Jones, 47, of Amarillo, TX died Saturday, April 16, 2022.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Darrell Bonjour of Amarillo Deaf Church officiating.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Jennifer was born October 10, 1974, in Hereford, TX to Eugene and Linda Straskulic.

Jennifer was fun, loving, a very selfless person, and tough.  She loved gambling, was an awesome cook, the outdoors, an excellent mother, loved kids, and enjoyed sitting on the porch with her husband, David, while they ate dinner.  Jennifer also treasured time with family, whether she was watching the kid’s pop fireworks or camping at the lake.  She adored her grandson, E.J.

She was preceded in death by great-grandma, Velma Seale, mother-in-law, Linda Jones, grandpa, Ernest Brown, aunt and uncle, Paula and Jim Braswell, and grandma, Sylvia Straskulic.

Survivors include her husband, David Jones; mom, Linda Boyett; aunt, Ruth Johnson; brother, Robert Straskulic; daughter, Destiny Richardson; son, Casey Jones; grandson, E.J. Richardson; grandma, Tommie Brown; sister-in-law, Mindy and husband Lathan Wilson; brother-in-law, Mickey Braswell; nephews, Cody Braswell, and Charles Wilson; nieces, Kayla Braswell, and Ashley Ferguson; three great-nieces; and several close family friends.

The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

  1. Prayers for Jennifer’s family. She was the best friend that anyone could ever have, she was much than that but a sister I never had! An amazing, caring, and giving woman. She will be missed! Grateful to have had her in my life….
