Jerry Kevin Hegeman, 58, of Amarillo, TX passed away on September 20, 2023.
Memorial service will be at 3:30 PM, Saturday, September 23, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Jerry was born February 5, 1965, in Bossier City, LA to Tom and Joyce Hegeman. He worked for Parker Boats and Motors for over 15 years and was the Big Texan Pitmaster for some time. Jerry took a lot of pride in his barbeque. He loved cars and listening to music, “Pandora” was his second name.
Jerry is survived by son, Eli Hegeman of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Lindsey Jernigan of South Haven, MS; mother, Joyce Hegeman of Amarillo, TX; brother, Steve Hegeman and wife Anita of Amarillo, TX; nephews, Thomas Hegeman of Huntsville, TX and Steven Hegeman of Amarillo, TX; and nieces, Stefanie Hegeman of Amarillo, TX and Cynthia Dremmel of Cannon City, CO.
Just now sad to find out Jerry had passed away. I agree with Eddie’s comment 100%. What a great guy! Always had a contageous smile on his face. The world needs more guys like Jerry.
What a great guy, he would do anything for anybody. Just the kind of guy he was. He is cooking for the souls in heaven now. RIP my friend.
