Jess Craig Little of Claude died on July 28, 2023, at the age of 53. He was born in Dalhart, Texas on November 13, 1969, to Hosea Jess and Linda Little. Jess graduated from Valley High School and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from Howard Payne University. Jess married the love of his life, Donna, on June 15, 1991 and together they had three beautiful daughters. Jess was called to ministry and ordained as a pastor in 1990. He pastored at several churches throughout his almost 30 years of pastoral ministry. After retiring from vocational ministry, he founded 287AG. Jess quickly found that 287AG opened the door for him to continue his ministry in new ways. While Jess was a business owner full of integrity and genuine care for his customers, he will be most remembered for his love for people, his wit, generous heart, and most importantly by his deep and unconditional love for God and his “Little Women.” Jess will fondly be remembered by his family and friends for his belly laugh sense of humor, his cheating hand at cards, and his personal sense of “style” and “fashion” that often needed his girls’ approval before he left the house. Jess was known to research any new gadget until he was an expert and loved a good hunt with his ol’ gal Roux. His favorite pastimes were spent with his girls, from hauling them to rodeos as when they were little to telling wild tales late into the night when they came home as adults. He loved taking his grandson, Jack, on walks around his prayer tree in the backyard. Jess’s love didn’t stop with his Little Women and family. Jess was known for his love for his “bonus” kids and grandkids. The best part of his work day was sending his bonus grandkids home with candy and pocket knives. Jess was known by many for his life-changing encouragement, his fierce and unwavering love and being the guy to call when in need. He will be remembered as a dear part of many families aside from his own. Jess leaves behind a legacy of generosity, love, servanthood, and fierce devotion to the Gospel.

Jess is survived by his wife Donna of Claude, daughters Morgan Moore and husband Chadd of Fort Worth, Lauren Morrison and husband Ryan of Claude, Landry Little of Fort Worth, grandson Jack Morrison, parents Hosea Jess and Linda Little of Claude, and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Jess was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie Jason Little, niece Heather Little, and nephew Leslie Cord Little.

  2. I fondly remember Jess when he attended HPU. Always a gentleman when he attended dinner at our home. What great memories we have, and his family will have.

  3. We were very fortunate to have Brother Jess, Linda, Jess Craig and Jason join us in Quitaque. When they moved there, Jess fell in with us immediately. His laughter was infectious and his nature was always positive. Very sad and heartbreaking for us, but heaven just became a little louder and a good time is being had. His family was quite fortunate to have him as were we. We will always love you Jess Craig.
