Jesse Brendton Hodge
Jesse Brendton Hodge, 36, passed away November 14, 2023 in Amarillo, TX. He was born August 5, 1987, in Amarillo, TX to Dr. K. Mitch Hodge and Deborah Clancy.
Jesse was a generous and gregarious soul that brightened the many lives he touched. He always had a kind word and a helping hand. Jesse made the world a better place with his bright smile and contagious laugh.
He lived many places in his lifetime-Arlington, Austin, Oklahoma City, Detroit, Louisville, San Francisco, before settling back in Amarillo. He graduated from Arlington High in 2006 and at the time of his passing, was working remotely as a software engineer for Gravyty, based in Seattle, WA. He was an avid gamer, told his jokes to lighten any day and loved playing jazz trumpet.
Jesse was preceded in death by his grandfather, Al Hodge of Richardson, his grandparents, T.K. and Dorothy Clancy of Oklahoma and his uncle, David Clancy of Oklahoma.
He is survived by his father, Dr. K. Mitch Hodge and his wife, Tracy of Belfast, Northern Ireland, his mother, Deborah Clancy of Custer City, Oklahoma, his brothers Temple Kristopher Clancy of Amarillo and Michael Clark of Midland, his grandmother, Dana Hodge of Amarillo, his aunt Kristi Shadbolt and her husband, Chris of Amarillo and his cousin, Cody Shadbolt and his wife, Erin of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, as well as several nieces, nephews, great aunts and uncles, and his sweet husky, Denny.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on November 28, 2023 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo. There will be no public burial.
