Jessie Mae Golden, 89, of Amarillo, TX died Monday, August 15, 2022.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Canyon Hills Church of Christ, 3109 N. 23

Street, in Canyon, TX with Curtis Shelburne officiating.  Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Lockney Cemetery in Lockney, TX.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jessie Mae was born on May 30, 1933, in Carnegie, OK to Jimmie and Anna Carthel.

She married Richard “Dick” Foy Golden on June 1, 1950.  He preceded her in death on March 16, 2014.

For more than thirty years Jessie Mae worked at Farmer’s Elevator in Dawn, TX.  She was a very hardworking woman who also farmed and was the total definition of the Proverbs 31 woman. Jessie Mae was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to all.

Jessie Mae was a charter member of the Canyon Hills Church of Christ.

She is survived by daughter, Dianna Jeffers, of Missouri; sons, Randy Golden and wife Kim, and Kevin Golden and wife Lori, all of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Joe Carthel and wife Janie, of Wildorado, TX, and Carrol Carthel and wife Marion, of Arizona; two sisters, Juanita Golden and husband Don, of Texas, and Verna Shannon, of California; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-five and ½ great-grandchildren.
