Jessie Rodriquez, 61, of Amarillo, TX passed away October 13, 2023.

Visitation will be from 2-4:00 P.M., Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, October 16, 2023, at Trinity Baptist Church, 1601 I-40. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Jessie was born on August 7, 1962, in Earth, TX to Larry and Elnora Rodriguez. He graduated from Hooker High School in 1981. After graduating, Jessie worked as a truck driver and finished out his career at Golden Spread Redi-Mix where he spent 18 years.

Jessie was a lifelong motorcycle lover who loved riding his Harley “Consuela” and being in the wind. He also enjoyed camping, and spending time with his family. His sense of humor, dedication to others, and friendships will be greatly missed.

Jessie is survived by his children Chris Rodriguez and wife Kaiden of Amarillo, TX, Austin and Ian Rodriguez both of Amarillo, TX, his mother Elnora and husband Benito Valdez of Amarillo, TX, sister Diana and husband Clay Brown of Forgan, OK, brother Larry Rodriguez and wife Susie of Amarillo, TX, brother Rudy Rodriguez and wife Debra of Amarillo, TX, sister Lori Egan and husband Ron of Amarillo, TX, Wesley Rodriguez of Larnard, KS, Jason Rodriguez of Lubbock, TX, many nephews and nieces, and grandchildren Amyiah Urbina, Cash, Carter and Camden Rodriguez all of Amarillo, TX.

Jessie was greeted in heaven by his father Larry Rodriguez and grandparents Lee and Isaura Hernandez, Jose and Adela Rodriguez, brother Wade Rodriguez, and niece, Cera Brozek.

  1. I remember meeting you years ago. I most remember when a few years ago you came to your Mothers when I was there and had your boys with you. A happy young man so proud of your sons you introduced to me Ian and Austin. Ages 9 and 11 at the time. I had pleasure of taking them along with your Mom out for Pizza and seeing them when they were visiting. There is so much love in your family and you will be missed by many, family , friends and just people who appear at your Mom’s home. REST IN PEACE. Dear Jessie such a good person, you will never be forgotten…
