Jesus H. Urteaga, 67, of Amarillo, TX passed away on January 8, 2022.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Services will be at 11: 00 A.M., Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Jesus was born in Menard, TX on December 25, 1954, to Amelia and Arthur Urteaga. For the last 17 years, he has lived and worked in Amarillo, TX for Midwest Fabrication and Construction Inc.
Jesus was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include his partner, Patty Castillo, of the home, and her children, Jeffrey, Robert, and Destiny; son, Jesse Urteaga and wife Elizabeth, of Waco, TX; daughter, Melissa Urteaga, of Van Alstyne, TX; sisters, Lois Oropeza, of Lakin, KS, Katie Limon, of Satanta, KS, and Gracie Muñoz, of Deerfield, KS; brothers, Gilbert Urteaga, of Lakin, KS, and Robert Urteaga, of Amarillo, TX; and three grandchildren, McKenzie Urteaga, Braeden Urteaga, and Mercedez Urteaga.

Jesse will be so missed! He sure brought a smile to everyone’s face at our office. Condolences to the family. Our Silver Star Supply family loved Jesse and will miss him greatly.

I did not know Mr. Urteaga, but I work with his daughter, Melissa. I am praying for the family in this sorrow. There is nothing that can replace the loss of a loved one. I pray that the Lord will wrap his arms around this family. Psalms 34:18 ” The Lord is near the brokenhearted…”
