  1. I am just now seeing this and heart broken! I have searched for Jim and Judy for years. Jim and Judy were Swannie and my dearest friends in college at Wayland Baptist. Somehow we lost touch. Many a weekend we shared what was left in our refrigerators/pantries and played cards or dominos for entertainment. Our sons, Jimbo and Coby, were also best buddies and played together daily. Jim was a special guy and the world will miss him. My love and sympathy to Judy, Jimbo, Jason and everyone who loved him.

  2. Knowing Jim and Judy for the past few years has been a pleasant experience in my life, Their courage as they walked the path together through all the test, treatment, was a testimony to their love ❤️ and commitment to each other.

  3. My fondest memory of Coach was the day he took pity on a girl who had just moved to Bishop from Maryland (where the weather was still in the 50s) and did not make her run in the 90-degree heat! He was always quick with a smile, and never seemed too busy for all of us “kids.” Having his son in our class was also a blessing as it made us feel more like he was “ours.” RIP, Coach. You will be missed by so many.

  4. While I didn’t personally know Jim, I have the pleasure of working with his wonderful son, Jason, and witness the wonderful character traits, leadership and care for others that were instilled in his son.

What a wonderful role model and inspiration to all!

My sincere condolences and prayer to the entire family.

  5. Coach Clark was a great coach, teacher & man. He had great influence on the man I am today. I’ll forever be grateful. He’s the reason I still call a football a tater.🤣. RIP Coach!

  6. Coach Clark was one of three reasons why I do what I do. If I ever turn into half the coach he was I know I will have done well. I love you Coach and I’ll see you down the road.

  7. My condolences to all the Clark family. What an honor it was to work alongside him in Alice, Texas, America. Coach Clark was an excellent role model for all students and coaches. We all shared many great times together that will never be forgotten. The gates of Heaven will be wide open to welcome Coach Clark. Rest in Peace my dear friend.

  8. The beauty of growing up in a small town was the closeness the community felt for each other (even though as kids we didn’t appreciate it). Coach Clark, like so many other teachers as BCISD, took their jobs at educators beyond the classroom. So many life lessons were taught on the field of play. Coach Clark’s friendly smile was always warm and welcoming, but he was stern when need be. He was kind and patient and knew how to draw the best from those he taught. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to have had him as a coach. Prayers to all of his family and friends.

  9. Coach Clark gave me some wonderful memories and great lessons during my years as a student at BHS. He took on a few girls and coached them to win many races despite the obstacles of having no track of their own to practice at. I will always remember his wonderful smile.

  10. Coach Clark will forever have a heart of gold, compassion! He had a special way of encouraging at the same time challenging you to reach your best level. He was a slow talker, and I often asked my dad (Coach Jack Tayrien) why he didn’t talk faster. Daddy said cause Coach Clark wants to make sure you learn what you need to learn the first time he says it!
