  2. I am so sorry for your loss! He was such fun to be around. I remember he was our 7th grade quarterback & him being in band & on to caprock. I just don’t have the words except I’m sorry & I know many will miss him in their lives.

  4. Jo, I am devastated by the news of our sweet Jimmy, as I know you are, too. Thankfully, your frienship with my Nono led me back to Jimmy, and we were able to connect. Several of us wanted to have a River Road reunion, and I contacted Jimmy about it. Of course, he immediately volunteered for his band to play all of our old 60’s and 70’s songs. That was Jimmy. He was hilarious, too. If you had a class with Jimmy, you were sure to have fun. I’m sure over the years, you had a teacher call concerning his antics. He always kept people laughing. Jo, I can’t find your phone number. If I haven’t located it by the time you read this, call me. I’m so sorry Jo. I pray for God to hold you tight. Love you, jan (richardson) inman

  10. Jimmy was one of my closest friends. Loved him like a brother. Wish so bad I could be there. Joan, you’re in my prayers.

  11. Jimmy was my childhood friend. Reaching back to my earliest memories Jimmy was there. What a treasure chest of adventure. He got his first bicycle, I got my first horse, then he got a motorcycle, then I got a Chevy truck. Jimmy then got a muscle car. Always a competitor. We rode bicycles at least a million miles. In summers we stayed close to his house watching for customers to the family firecracker stand. Jimmy was first chair trombonist , I was second chair and Bobby was third…….for years. After high school we lost track of each other. Everybody needs a Jimmy in their life. I am blessed with knowing the Clifton family. Jimmy, you were a treasure and WAY too young to be gone. What a treasure chest of adventure and memories.

  12. Joan,
I am thinking we were together in work or maybe bowling with Southwestern Bell but something years-ago in Amarillo; senior-moments recall parts-of-stories from back-then but forget more than they recall. At that time, I was Wiist and married to Bob Wiist. I am so sorry for your loss; I can relate with losses-of-spouses and parents as Bob (we divorced in early-1968, remarried later that same year, had Beth and divorced again in 1971; he passed away in 2003 and my second-husband (high-school sweethearts, he had never-married and waited 15 years for me to come back for him in Dumas in 1974; he passed away in 2002) plus both of my parents for 20-or-more. However, I can only-feel for those who bury their children as my only will be 49-years-old in May. Grieve-as-you must, not-as-others will tell you is right, wrong or indifferent. Travel this new-pathway as there are no-pathways, each has their own-individual one. Cling and lean heavily to our Lord’s unfailing -and -unchanging hands; He will carry you through.
