He was so awesome. My son tried to get me to do all the wrong things in the parking lot, Mr Jimmy kept me in line with a smile on his face.
Thank you Karen. He is seriously missed.
I am so sorry to hear of Jimmy’s passing Vian.
He was a friend of my former husband, Kenneth (Luke) Keeney.
I remember him always smiling.
Thinking of you,
Karen Sharp Class of ’63
I umpired many baseball games in Amarillo with Jimmy in the 1970s and 1980s. He was an amazing man and an excellent umpire. He possessed the perfect demeanor for an umpire. What I remember most about Jimmy is his ever-present “signature smile” and his kindness. My sincere condolences to his family. Rest in peace, Jimmy.
Vian
I’m so sorry about the loss of your husband. You are in my prayers.
God Bless.
My heart goes out to Jimmy’s family. I was greeted by his sweet, kind smile every morning at CHS. I can only imagine how many students’ and staff members’ days were brightened by his smile and caring spirit. On days I didn’t have my ID badge, he was quick to jump out of his golf cart to let me in the building. He would also remind me how many days unti our next break and alert me when there were treats in the mailroom. He was a true gentleman and such an amazing role model for young men. On numerous occasions, he helped me carry things in without even being asked. He wil be missed by so many. I will hold you in my prayers.
He was a lovely man- and this is a lovely family. Praying for peace as you say goodbye- Love you all….
Heaven gained an Angel ,with heavy heart my thoughts & prayers

He was a sweet man. Always making me laugh when I was a kid. He will be missed.
Vian to the woman who taught me to be strong, lean into that strength and love. To Matt and the rest of the family, I know the loss is hard but God gives us the strength. Even though we will miss him everyday, we know we will meet again. Love and prayers for you all.
Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers, Matthew.
Mr. Jimmy was incredible. He was always just trying to do the best for us. I remember bringing him fries back as an apology for sneaking past him off campus during lunch and he just laughed and said thank you for the fries. So very sorry for your loss. He will always be remembered.
Aww Jimmy was always smiling and oh such a sweet man worked together at football games .

Jimmy touched so many lives and his infectious smile lit up the room. I’m so thankful I was blessed by his generosity, his care and his friendship! Thank you for always placing a cone in my parking spot! You are already missed by so many!
So sorry for the immense loss your family has suffered. As I’m sure you all know, Jimmy was and will always be a treasured part of the high school experience for so many students and parents at Centennial. His smiling face and friendly wave will be deeply missed. Peace, comfort and love to your family. May God embrace you all during this time.
I only great great stories about my friends getting caught by Jimmy at CHS! Never heard a negative thing about him, and he was good at what he did! Everyone made it a game to see if they could get past the Jimmy the Golf Cart guy! RIP Jimmy!! You’ll be missed dearly!
One of the best men we’ve ever known…his smile and kindness knew no bounds. He will be deeply missed by everyone at CHS. Our condolences to his wife, children and loved ones…he was one of a kind!
Jimmy was a great neighbor and a wonderful friend. Always pleasant and always smiling, he made talking to him a joy that we had the privilege of getting to experience for many years. Vian, please know that you are in our prayers and know that Jimmy will live on in our hearts and minds. Take comfort in knowing that we will see him again in our Lord’s house. What a blessed reunion that will be. Rest easy my friend and know that you were loved by all that knew you.
