Jo Ann Hicks, 92, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
Visitation will be from 4-6:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Private burial will be at a later date.
Jo Ann was born July 31, 1929, in Dalhart, TX to Dillard and Callie Ritchey. She married Harley G. Hicks on January 12, 1953, in Odessa, TX. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2000.
She loved children and taught math at Avondale Elementary School.
Survivors include son, Rich and wife Glenda Hicks, of Amarillo, TX; and grandchild, Anthony Milligan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in her honor to your preferred charity.
