Jo Ann Meyer, 87, of Adrian, Texas passed away on December 4, 2022.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 6,, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Vega, TX.  Mass will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, TX.

Jo was born in Nara Visa, NM on October 8, 1935, to Jim and Inice Alford. She grew up in Umbarger and graduated from Umbarger High School.

Jo married Joseph “Joe” Meyer in Umbarger, TX on April 21, 1955. They were lovingly known as “Mama Jo” and “Papa Joe” to family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, watching March Madness and Texas Tech. Her greatest joy was hosting family celebrations with lots of food, Bingo and “dice rolling.” She loved country living and farming.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Meyer; son Albert Meyer, a grandson; siblings, Peggy Koetting, Charlie Alford.

Survivors include her children, Richard Meyer and wife Jane, James Meyer, Carolyn green, Charles Meyer, Betty Skaggs and husband Ray, and Kenneth Meyer; daughter-in-law , Marianne Meyer; siblings, Lawson Alford and wife Pat, Eula Bax and husband Jim, Linda Robinson, Larry Alford and wife Shannon; grandchildren; Carrie Meyer, Amber Meyer, Brandi Meyer, Jesse Meyer, Brandee Meyer, Keely Artho and husband Kyle, Staci Britten and husband Clay, Lindsay Meyer, Wade Meyer, Kendra Davis and husband Jonathan, Jeremy Green and wife Andie, Josh Skaggs and wife Haylee; great-grandchildren, Aliyah Jones, Zaylah Jones, Silas Vela, Kelsey Artho, Blaine Artho, Shelby Artho, Dawson Britten, Ty Britten, Case Britten, Tate Britten, Brekli Britten, Caden Davis, Matthew Davis, Logan Davis, Brooklyn Skaggs, and Jarrett Skaggs.

The family suggests memorials to Adrian EMS, Adrian Fire Department, PO Box 14, Adrian, TX 79001, or Vega Memorial Park Cemetery, Box 496, Vega, TX 79092.
