Jo Ann Walker, 76, of Amarillo, TX passed away on July 2, 2021.
 Private family services will be held.
Jo Ann was born in Allen, OK on April 25, 1945, to Naomi and Melvin Russell.
Jo Ann had two siblings, her brother Denver Russell of Weatherford, Texas, and a sister Pat Farley of Chickasha, Oklahoma. She had three children, Elizabeth Payne of Amarillo, Texas, Bo Cano of Oklahoma City, and Jay Cano of Amarillo, Texas. She had two grandchildren, Priscilla Nguyen of Amarillo, Texas, and Steven Candelaria of Amarillo, Texas. She had two great-grandchildren, Aniyah Nguyen, and Bella Ramirez of Amarillo, TX.
Jo Ann was loved by everyone and if you didn’t know Jo Ann you were missing out. Her laughter was infectious, and she laughed at everything whether she was sick or healthy. She loved to read and sing and was also a very talented artist. She loved her dogs and her kids with all of her heart. She will be greatly missed. Jo Ann was the most faithful saint of her home church, and she was so obedient to the Word and was baptized in Jesus’ name like the book of Acts commanded by Peter on the day of Pentecost. So, we can all know she is asleep in Christ now and has left this ugly world behind having the Promise of God. Knowing that we will see her again and probably sooner than we all think.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Fern McCoy; and her father, Melvin Russell of Oklahoma.
She is survived by all of her children and grandchildren.
