Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N Maddox Ave.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas.

Jody was born on December 30, 1954, in Phillips, Texas to M.T. and Joe King.  She worked as a florist, in the animal health industry, processing cattle, and catering.

If you knew Jody, you were blessed!!! Or “mowing” She would take in any stray horse, dog, cat, or kid and put them to work “And love them forever” She was the best friend anyone could ask for. Even if she would let you “choke on ice”.  She was a sister that would move mountains for you, fight for you, dance with you, cry with you, and kill for you.  She was the best mom any child could ever ask for.  And as for a wife, she was mean as hell but loved Jack Ray with a love like no other! 30 years ago, Jody started her favorite job of all she became “THE NANA”. She sang the chocolate milk song to every one of her grandkids, dressed them crazy, and taught them how to hunt prairie dogs.

Nana, Momma, Sister, friend, and sweetheart give all our loved ones up there hugs and kisses, you will be forever loved and missed.

  12. I lived and worked for Jack and Jody in Optima at Master Feeders in the early 70’s. They along with Pete were real cow people and I will always be indebted to them for showing me how cowboys live and work. Work hard and love fully is what they did! May God bless you Jack, Pete and the entire Evans and King family. Our heart goes out to you all!
