Joel Wayne Richardson, 81, of Amarillo, TX passed away January 28, 2024.
Memorial service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Pinnacle Community Church, 7305 S. Coulter St. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Joel was born March 1, 1942 in Tucumcari, NM to Joel and Rhea Richardson. He grew up in Las Vegas, NM and Taos, NM. He had worked at Affiliated as a traffic manager and truck driver for over 25 years, and Kimrad Transport for over 10 years. Joel loved to hunt and was a member of the N.R.A. He also enjoyed going to Lake Texoma to fish and was an avid reader. Joel married Theresa Barr on January 5, 2015.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie Yazbek; and his dad, Joel Richardson.
Joel is survived by his wife, Theresa Barr; mother, Rhea Richardson; son, Scott Richardson; daughter, Nikki Richardson; stepchildren, Tiffany Oyebi, Aaron Felton, Jonathan Chestnut, Elizabeth Ward, and Whitney Ostrander; brother, Danny (Sharon) Richardson; 22 grandchildren; and several great-granchildren.
