John Gilbert Rodriguez, 42, of Amarillo, died Saturday, February 10, 2024.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM, Thursday, February 15, 2024, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount with Deacon Robert Smith celebrating. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 16, 2024, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Father Tony Neusch as officiant. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
John was born on June 10, 1981, in Cactus, Texas, to Estela and Jose Rodriguez.
He had been a hardware associate at Home Depot. John was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He loved his kids and his family very much. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Texas Tech fan.
John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cristina Portillo.
He is survived by his three daughters, Esperanza Rodriguez, Samara Rodriguez, and Laine Rodriguez; his son, John-Hayden Rodriguez; the mother of his children, MaryJane Flores, all of Amarillo; girlfriend, Vivianna Vasquez; and his brothers, Joey Velasco of Amarillo; Christopher Velasco of Sunray, Texas; and Michael Velasco of Amarillo and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
