John Philip (aka: Phil) Bell, a devoted family man and a dedicated professional, passed away on December 3, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of courage and love. Born on November 24, 1954, in Fort Worth and raised in Claude, TX, he was the son of John & Dorothy Bell Jr. John’s life was a journey marked by service and the unwavering love he had for his family and many friends.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 11, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
John embarked on a remarkable career as a Security Police Officer (SPO III) at BWTX Pantex, displaying remarkable skill and precision. His commitment to safeguarding the well-being of others was a testament to his character.
While John’s professional life was impressive, it was his family that truly defined him. He was the proud father of four children, a role that brought him immense joy and pride. His love extended to his six grandchildren, who adored their Poppy, as they would call him.
John Bell will be remembered for his strength, his unwavering support, and the warmth he brought to every gathering. He did not know a stranger. He leaves behind cherished memories and a family united by his love.
John’s memory will live on through the love he shared with his family, the impact he made in his career, and the friendships he cultivated. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
John is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Bell, their children, Taleisha Bell & Thomas Stasko, Sydnee Shorten, Jonathan & Sarah Williams, David Bell, and grandchildren, Izaac, Izaiah, Chloe, Fiona, Gage, and Hayden. Other living relatives include Mark & Diana Bell, Brent Bell, and sisters Lauren & David Wayne, and Melinda & Tim Swires, along with his best friend, Darrell (& Lamoyne) Garrison. He was predeceased by his parents John & Dorothy Bell Jr and brother, Alan Bell.
